Libraries, Literature and Empathy Project

A Libraries, Literature and Empathy project will develop an Empathy Reading programme for young people in collaboration with schools and libraries. Based on recent research findings that show a link between reading literary fiction and empathy, the aim is to encourage young people to engage with the lives and experiences of others through literature. The Child & Family Research Centre and NUIG Library will pilot a reading scheme with young people in 2018.
